Event Floristry for Everyone
Floristry skills built around real events
Event floristry sits at the intersection of craft and logistics. Knowing how to build a stunning arrangement is only part of the work — you also need to plan quantities, manage delivery timing, and adapt quickly when a venue changes its layout at the last minute.
This program was built from scratch in 2025 specifically for people who want to work with real events: weddings, corporate gatherings, private celebrations. Each module focuses on a concrete scenario rather than abstract technique.
The course suits both those with no prior floristry background and those who already work with flowers but have never approached event-scale work. You do not need a studio — the early modules are designed for home practice.
From first stems to a finished event
Each stage of the program mirrors an actual workflow. You learn by doing the same sequence a working florist follows — from client brief to final installation.
Reading the brief
You start with a written client scenario — a venue, a palette, a budget. The first skill you practice is translating a brief into a shopping list and a realistic timeline.
week 1–2Mechanics and structure
Foam-free and foam-based armatures, wire work, vase geometry. You learn which construction method fits which venue format and scale of arrangement.
week 3–5Ceremony and reception design
Arch builds, table centrepieces, welcome arrangements. Each lesson covers a specific installation type with material quantities and setup timing included.
week 6–9Portfolio and pricing
Photographing your work on a tight budget, writing service descriptions that attract the right clients, and building a pricing sheet that covers your actual costs.
week 10–12What you finish the course with
After completing all twelve modules, you have a documented project — a full event concept built from brief to installation plan. It is ready to show to a potential client or employer.
What people noticed during the program
"I had tried learning from videos before, but I always got stuck on quantities. The brief-based approach here made me actually think through the numbers before picking up scissors."
"The arch build lesson was the most useful two hours I have spent learning anything this year. The written load list alone saved me from a serious mistake at my first real job."
